In 2009, Jana graduated from the Faculty of Law of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. During her studies, she completed a three months internship in a law firm in Birmigham (UK) specialized on making compensation claims for persons being involved in road accidents, accidents at work and other accidents.
After completing her studies, she worked as a junior lawyer in several law firms for nearly four years and her traineeship finished at law firm of Peter Janči in Liptovský Mikuláš. She has gained extensive experience in the field of commercial, civil, labor, family, administrative and criminal law as well as in other fields of law.
She worked as a lawyer in the IOM International Organization for Migration (SR) for two years where she specialized in the immigration law. She provided legal counselling especially in the area of the Schengen visas, residence of foreigners, their employment, family reunion and citizenship.
In the academic year 2014/2015 she completed the Course on Legal Ethics led by professor James Moliterno from Washington and Lee University.
Jana is fluent in English.
